INSTRUCTORS/TRAINERS OF SECURITY DOGS

Section 1 - Scope
This Code of Practice gives recommendations for the instruction and training of Handlers and Dogs for the purpose of providing Manned Guarding Services on a static site or mobile patrol basis.

This Code of Practice also applies to the instruction and training of Detection Dogs and Handlers and should be read in conjunction with the Drug Detection Team appendix.

As a Code of Practice this document takes the form of guidance, best practice and recommendations for an Instructor/Trainer of Security Dogs and Handlers regardless of NASDU Membership.
