Dog handlers must hold:

Valid SIA license
A relevant dog handling qualifications (or be working towards this) or come from a military/police background with relevant training.
A suitable vehicle with no logos present
A suitable dog, trained or be willing to join our training programme
Must conform to BS7858 vetting and be able to prove a 5 year checkable history

Supervise the staff that fall within your territory

You will do this by:

•   Carrying out site visits on all members of staff at least once per month. A
suitable report with any follow up action points, photographs and high level
intelligence shall be included. All staff visits shall check compliance to
British Standards/ISO9001 as well as industry legislation and health and
safety.
•   Completing and send weekly reports to the Operations Manager.
•   Ensuring that all staff’s immediate Health and Safety requirements are met.
•   Using your best endeavours to motivate and direct staff to achieve their
goals, as set out by the Company.
•   Ensuring that the Company’s ethos is understood and expressed
throughout the actions of the staff.
•   Acting as a first point of contact to operational staff, ensuring all
information is logged and raised where necessary.
•   Conduct baseline assessments where required.
•   Receiving out-of-hours telephone calls on a rota every week.

Manage all assignments that fall within your territory

You will do this by:

•   Carrying out site audits at least once per month, completing the relevant
documentation. The main purpose of your audit is to ensure compliance to
the Assignment Instructions.
•   Ensuring that competent staff, that offers ‘best fit’, are knowledgeable
about their assignments and are an efficient use of resource on the site.
•   Checking whether the assignment has up-to-date Assignment Instructions
and Risk Assessments, easily accessed and understood by all. All members
of staff who work on the assignment must sign all documents.
•   Reporting any Health and Safety issue, incident or accident immediately to
your operations manager.
•   Forward planning for emergency cover on existing or potential new
assignments.

Compliance to the Company’s regulating bodies is essential to the smooth
running of the business.

You will do this by:

•   Ensuring compliance to all documented processes and procedure.
•   Participating in regular meetings or conference calls with your Operations
Manager and other Supervisors.
•   Ensuring that the Company’s QMS is updated with any changes
immediately.
•   Compliance of your role to British Standards: BS7499, BS7858, BS8507-1
and BS8517 (1&2).

Operations Manager

To manage and provide effective leadership to all security staff

You will do this by ensuring:

•   All resources are appropriately and efficiently allocated and that all
assignments are covered adequately and in line with the Company’s
best interests.
•   All supervisors have clear roles and responsibilities, that they are
understood and executed to a high standard.
•   You are the first point of contact for all new assignments, attending
site in the first instance where possible or delegated to your
supervisors if not possible.
•   Communication is upheld between the Finance Manager and
yourself. Any amendments to Company policy are to be agreed with
your Managing Director.
•   Monthly site visits are conducted on all client sites and all staff
members. You shall liaise with any area supervisors to ensure this is
carried out in an effective and efficient manner.
•   Quarterly ‘mystery shopper’ exercises are conducted on all client
sites in an effective and efficient manner.
•   Monthly management meetings are held with the whole team or
more often if required.
•   Shifts on the rota are signed off daily, allowing invoices to be issued
and staff payroll processed.
•   Compliance across the company for British Standards: BS7499,
BS7858, BS8507-1, and BS8517 (1&2).
Reporting

Keep all reports up-to-date and ensure they are distributed to all relevant
parties

You shall do this by ensuring:

•   All Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments are written and uploaded
for all assignments.
•   Your documentation is up-to-date and uploaded onto the QMS.
•   All incidents are reported to the Quality Assurance Manager and reports
uploaded to the QMS.
•   Support is given to the Quality Assurance Manager and Managing Director
in developing ‘best in class’ policies and company documents.
•   The Managing Director is provided with weekly reports to include
information such as any failings in cover, disciplinary issues, new staff, and
client and staff issues.
•   Weekly reports are uploaded to the GSS portal and sent to the client in a
timely manner.
•   KPI’s are conducted with every client on a monthly basis. The outcome of
these KPI’s shall be uploaded to the portal, trended and reported to the
Managing Director on a monthly basis in person. Any improvement needs
shall be logged, an action plan written and any points completed
appropriately.
•   Fluid communication between departments, management meetings and
reporting to your Managing Director.

Fleet and Equipment Management

Overseeing and recording all information regarding the Company’s stock,
equipment, technology and vehicles.

You will do this by:

•   Uploading all stock, vehicles, equipment and technology onto the online
portal.
•   Updating the portal to ensure the information contained within is accurate
and up-to-date.
•   Ensuring that all company vehicles are tracked and monitored effectively
and efficiently. Any anomalies should be reported to the Managing
Director.
•   Keeping an up-to-date record of the location of all equipment, technology,
vehicles and stock, ensuring it is always logged in/out accurately.
Client Liaison

Providing an effective Point of Contact (POC) for all clients

You will do this by:

•   Ensuring all client operation managers, site managers and area managers
are aware that you are the POC for day-to-day operational issues.
•   Conducting monthly KPI’s.
•   Ensuring client meetings are carried out at least quarterly.
•   Writing up notes from all meetings, uploading them to the portal,
highlighting any action points.
•   Complete any action points raised by the client, ensuring these are clearly
communicated and closed out. All action points shall be documented as
well as the outcomes.
•   Provide quotations for work when required.
•   Ensuring Client’s KPI feedback on GSS’ management is above 90%.
•   Networking the Company’s services where possible

Training

All members of staff must be suitable trained for their vocation. Furthermore,
their future training requirements and ambitions must be noted and followed up.

You will do this by:

•   Keeping up-to-date on legislative matters relating to the security industry.
•   Attending annual staff appraisals.
•   Conducting Personal Development Plan reviews, circulating these
throughout the business and ensuring they are kept up-to-date.
•   Ensuring that the appropriate level of training is provided for all staff.
