NASDU Head Office will close for the Christmas and New Year at midday on Friday 21st December 2018 and will re-open on Thursday 3rd January 2019.
Thank you for your continued support of NASDU over the last year.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
Unfortunately, my springer spaniel bitch was stolen on 15th September, 2018 from The Midland Game Fair, near Telford.
I am absolutely heartbroken and I cannot express in words the distress and upset that this has caused.
I am writing to you as an appeal. Please can you keep your eyes peeled for Amo, (photos attached), as she may be anywhere in the country now. I fear that the person who took her may potentially try and sell her on as a detection dog.
She is only 17 months old and is around 16kg in weight, all white body with liver speckles, and a liver head and ears, with a white stripe down her snout, going more to her right than left. She also has a noticeable oval spot of liver on top of her head. Amo also has a 3/4 showing docked tail, as she is a working springer. She is chipped, and the company are aware of the situation.
I am so desperate to have her home where she belongs, and I would really appreciate if you could circulate her missing amongst other dog handlers and organisations who can also keep their eyes peeled for her.
She has her own:
Facebook Page – https://www.facebook.com/haveyouseenamo/
Twitter – https://twitter.com/FindStolenAmo
DogLost – http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=134486
I would really appreciate if you could share any of her information on social media, to try and make her ‘too hot to handle’ so whoever has her finds it in their heart to release her and let her come home. I have also attached her poster, and it would be greatly appreciated if you could print the poster and place it in your centre. There is a very substantial reward for her return, or information which may lead to her return.
The police have also been notified, with the Crime Reference Number – N1/75132/2018. Any information, please do not hesitate to call me, Bibby, on 07809701261.
Last NASDU Magazine
You may or may not know that the next issue of the NASDU quarterly magazine will be the last of the current glossy format after over 13 years and 52 issues.
The NASDU Management Committee debated long and hard over dropping the magazine in favour of a social media presence and I suppose the posting which we put on our Facebook page on the 8th January which has now had over 7000 hits is evidence of the power of social media!
The editorial closing date is 31st January 2018 and if there is anyone who would like to contribute to this final issue then can we ask you forward your editorial and/or pictures to Head Office no later than Friday 26th January 2018.
We look forwarding to hearing from you shortly.
WARNING – ROGUE TRAINER
Once again NASDU Head Office has been notified that Mr Gavin Hepworth has been portraying himself as a NASDU Approved Trainer, conning handlers in departing with many thousands of pounds for training whilst offering NASDU/HABC qualifications.
NASDU can categorically state Mr Hepworth is not and has never been a NASDU Approved Instructor/Trainer.
What Mr Hepworth is doing is fraud and should be reported direct to the local Police or Trading Standards on 03454 04 05 06.
Any person (Member or not) with concerns regarding previous dealings with Mr Hepworth or who has any evidence of his malpractice should contact NASDU Head Office. Please help us to stamp out this type of malpractice within our industry and pass the word on to your friends and colleagues.
Just to remind Individual Members that Individual Membership is due for renewal for the period 1st February 2018 to 31st January 2019, renewal Forms are on there way.
