Whilst NASDU can confirm (on request) if a Company is a NASDU Member or not it is the responsibility of either the individual Dog Handler or the service provider to ascertain if their future employer/client is compliant to the Code of Practice BS 8517 on an individual basis as applicable.

Are you an Explosives Detection Dog (EDD) Handler?

Would you like to work for a leading canine security provider in a busy aviation environment with your canine partner by your side, help Securitas protect people and property at a major UK airport.

Have you got?

• previous dog handling/training experience
• a full clean driving licence

You must pass aviation five year vetting and be able to house a trained EDD


Major UK airports
Up to £30,000 per annum
40 hours per week (varied shifts)

Malpeet K9 Academy are recruiting for an experienced credible NASDU accredited trainer ( or a trainer with the correct credentials to become a NASDU trainer ) Would suit a retired Military or Police instructor looking to add to his or her pension and in turn income. Must be able to instruct handlers and train dogs in GP 2 and 3 , Drug Detection both passive and proactive and Explosive Detection as a minimum. This is not a full time position however we can offer a minimum of 3/4 x 32 day courses per year at our residential facility in South Wales.. Additional training days are extremely likely so a flexible can do approach is a must…We will NOT consider trainers who are attached to other training companies or whom are active as a training business in their own right. Earnings in the region of up to £14,000 PA ( part time ) plus benefits plus expenses plus additional hours / days .
