From time to time NASDU Head Office receive calls from dog owners who for a variety of reasons need to re-home their dogs.
Many of these have been referred by the RSPCA/Battersea Dogs Home to NASDU as the breed of dog may be suitable as a Security Dog.
The following contains the contact details of these dog owners for which we ask you to contact the owner direct.
NASDU offers nor implies any guarantee of suitability and it is the responsibility of the enquirer to ascertain the reason for the dog being re-homed and its suitability.
The service is provided free of charge to members of NASDU and users of its website, all we ask is that if a dog is re-homed then you contact NASDU so we can amend the site.
Cassie is a 2 year old GSD x Malinois spayed bitch. She was bred by a security dog handler. She is small physically, compared to most, but is a big character.
She has high drive, loves her balls and toys. She is extremely clever and loves to use her brain. She cannot be trusted around children (lunging / barking / snapping) and she is dog-reactive (selectively but enough to cause a problem). She chases anything that moves. She loves sniffing and scenting. She is fine on her own for a few hours and travels well.
We’ve done lots with her including training classes, trick training, working with an ex-police/army dog handler, counter conditioning with a behaviourist, agility (she loves it), canicross, hiking etc. She’s a great dog and in the right hands will be fantastic, but we have come to the conclusion that it would be best to rehome.
We are happy to discuss with anyone who is seriously interested in her. An assessment from an accredited behaviourist is also available. We would want to home check as it is paramount she goes to the right place.
We are based in Buckinghamshire.

Lucky is a young male dog (15 months old), based in Brighton. He’s a cross Labrador (mother) and German Shepherd (father). He is up to date on his vaccinations and he is not castrated.
Because of his aggression I can’t keep him at home anymore and his Trainer suggested that with the right training he can be a fantastic security dog. He is a great sniffer too!!
